Celebrating Black-Led Businesses + Community Partners

Black History Month at MOA®

In the late Sixties, college campuses began celebrating Black History Month, spurred on by the civil rights movement and a growing awareness of U.S. Black identity. In 1976, the month’s significance was officially recognized by President Gerald Ford, and decades later, we are proud and honored to mark Black History Month by shining a light on the Black-owned businesses under our roof.

Join us as we showcase local Black entrepreneurs, share their stories + raise awareness through events hosted with our Twin Cities community partners.

Community Impact

Giving back to the community is a big part of who we are, and Mall of America is proud to partner with Twin Cities non-profits that work hard to make our communities a better place to live. Mall of America continues to support many non-profits like those below—all in an effort to make a difference for people in our backyard and around the world.
