Innovative toy store Hey!Joy opens at Mall of America on December 1st
BLOOMINGTON, MN— November 25, 2020
Hey!Joy, a new toy store, will open its first ever location at Mall of America on December 1. Opening on level 1, East, the 11,000-sqaure-foot space discovery store will feature thousands of toys, game zones, a sweet factory and a 360-degree cinema.
“Every child wishes for their dream gift. Yet far too many toys are dusting shelves and hoarding boxes, waiting for the next flea market. Hey!Joy was called to fix this,” said Vadim Chomenko, co-founder and CEO of Hey!Joy. “We studied hundreds of kids’ interests and handled thousands of toys to understand what modern children love. With this wisdom, we created Hey!Joy.”
The goal of Hey!Joy is to create a space to immerse kids in their dreams, surprise them and help develop their interests while exploring new hobbies and learning new ways to be creative. Every inch of the 11,000-square-foot space will help parents understand what children want and show that getting a gift can be a fun experience for all.
“Mall of America was an easy choice to open our first ever Hey!Joy store with its amazing background in blending retail and entertainment,” added Chomenko. “Our team is excited to open the doors during the holiday season and help parents find the perfect gift for their children.”
The Hey!Joy store zones will include:
- Cinema 360°: An area for families to relax in a comfortable and socially distant environment while watching cartoons and movies.
- Hero Factory: A safe and sanitary dress-up zone where kids can transform into their favorite superhero, animal, or make believe character!
- Ice Cream Station: This station is dedicated to creating a more flavorful experience.
- YummyJoy Sweet Factory: This area features 140 types of fine Belgium chocolate, hand made caramel sweets, marshmallows and gummi bears.
- Gift Upgrade: Presentation is often as important as the gift itself. Guests can complete their gift with colorful wrapping paper and decorations.
- Joy Mail: Here, guests can sign a postcard or attach a personal video, and Hey!Joy will offer a smooth delivery service in times when handing gifts in-person is difficult.

Hey!Joy is a discovery store, founded in 2020. Hey!Joy is a combination of an app, a store and multiple game zones. The 11,000 square feet store is divided into several sections, according to most common interests and themes. Adults will have an easy time navigating through the store, while the kids can try toys and play in game zones. The store locates more than 10,000 gifts, a 360° dome cinema, a sweet factory with more than 140 types of sweets, and an ice-cream station.
