mall of america® prepares for robust back-to-school shopping season with ‘Haul of America’
The campaign features onsite ‘HAUL CENTER’ for guests to share their finds, shopping rewards and a new shoppable website for buy online, pick up at Mall of America
BLOOMINGTON, MN— August 10, 2021
Mall of America has launched HAUL OF AMERICA, a back-to-school campaign celebrating a bigger and better back-to-school shopping season. Centered around shopping hauls, the campaign encourages shoppers to share their favorite finds and must-have wardrobe pieces from Mall of America as kids step back into the classroom.
Running through September 18, guests can visit the ‘HAUL CENTER’ located on Level 1, east next to the TCF Rotunda at Mall of America where they can show off their shopping hauls. The center will feature a photo and filming station complete with ring lights, back drops and more for back-to-school shoppers to record and upload their hauls and share their finds via #HaulofAmerica.
Additionally, the Haul Center will include a station for guests to drop off back to school items to be donated to Way to Grow, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to early childhood education. Way to Grow is seeking new, unused items such as backpacks, children’s socks, arts and crafts and educational games.
Back-to-school shoppers will also be able to enjoy earning rewards this season at Mall of America. Guests can earn passes to their favorite MOA attractions including Nickelodeon Universe, Moose Mountain Adventure Golf and more. The simple process includes spending $150 at Mall of America now through September 6, 2021, uploading receipts to the MOA app, and choosing rewards.
“We wanted to ensure an extra special and convenient back to school shopping season for our guests this year after so many missed out on this memorable shopping tradition in 2020,” said Grant Buntje, VP of Marketing for Mall of America. “Our back-to-school celebration is all about helping our guests uniquely express themselves by showcasing their shopping hauls while also rewarding them with future trips to enjoy their favorite attractions at Mall of America.”
Mall of America has also partnered with Adeptmind to begin testing a central buy online, pick up model through MOA Online, an e-commerce site where guests will be able to shop multiple MOA retailers from one website. From there, they can purchase their items and pick up from one central location within Mall of America.
