Contest Description: The Midwest Kpop Festival 2022 (the “MKF 2022”) Kpop Cover Dance Contest. The contest commences 1:00PM (CT) Sunday, September 18, 2022 and concludes 4:00PM (CT).
Eligibility: The contest is open to all legal residents of the USA. Notwithstanding the above, the contest is not open to individuals associated with the contest, including the hosts and sponsors.
How to enter: Eligible individuals must submit their entry application online between July 17th, 2022 and August 31st, 2022 11:59PM (CT). All submissions must be made by the provided link.
Preliminary Round Video requirements:
a. The performance piece must be a Kpop dance cover.
b. The performance piece must be between 3 to 4:30 minutes.
c. The performance piece including dance, music, and outfits must be family friendly.
d. Music has to be by K-Pop artist(s). (example: a LiliFilm cover would not be allowed)
e. If you include original choreography, it must be less than 1 minute of the total performance.
f. Minimum of 4 members must be on the team.
g. Participants cannot partake in 2 (or more) different teams, must only submit a single submission from one team.
h. Video resolution must be a minimum of 1920x1080, full view (no close ups), in bright clean background.
i. The video submission must only be via YouTube links, with unlisted or public permission.
Final Round requirements:
a. If the team passes the preliminary round, the team is responsible for any and all travel expenses.
b. All members of the team must be physically present on the day of the event.
c. If you wish to modify the final performance piece, it must be first discussed with the board of MKDC and after approval, the team must submit a full video with the changes to mkdcofficial@gmail.com before the final round.
Prize description:
a. One (1) Grand winner will receive $500 in cash, one (1) 2nd place winner will receive $300 in cash, and one (1) 3rd place winner will receive $200 in cash.
b. MKDC reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value; winners do not have any right to substitute prizes.
c. Winners are solely responsible for all taxes, duties, or other costs that may be associated with the winning of a prize.
General:
a. By participating in this contest, contestants agree to be bound by the official rules and the decisions of the judges.
b. MKDC LLC and KCCLA and MOAC Mall Holdings LLC are NOT responsible for any injury, including death, to any person participating in the contest.
c. By entering, each entrant forever and irrevocably releases and holds harmless MKDS LLC, KCCLA, and their parents, subsidiaries, divisions and affiliates, and respective agents, MOAC Mall Holdings LLC, advertising and promotion agencies, affiliates, contest suppliers and all of their respective employees, officers, directors, managers, members, owners and agents from and against all claims, damages or liabilities arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant's participation and/or entry in the contest and/or receipt or use of any prize awarded in the contest.
