BLOOMINGTON, MN — November 13, 2025
Black Friday is almost here, and Mall of America® is ready to welcome the holiday season with unmatched energy and excitement. Continuing its annual tradition, the Mall will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day and reopen at 7 a.m. on Friday, November 28, inviting thousands of eager shoppers to kick off their holiday celebrations. Tens of thousands of dollars in prizes, unbelievable doorbusters, and live entertainment throughout the Mall make this year’s Black Friday Together a festive shopping experience unlike any other!
“There’s nothing quite like the magic of Black Friday at Mall of America,” said Jill Renslow, Chief Business Development & Marketing Officer at Mall of America. “It’s more than a shopping day; it’s a moment where the season truly begins. Families come together, friends gather, and the entire Mall comes alive with joy, music, and celebration. This year, we’re bringing that festive spirit to life in bigger, more exciting ways than ever before, with entertainment, and surprises, creating countless unforgettable experiences for our guests.”
As visitors are welcomed through the North Entrance, they'll kick off their morning by receiving a Mystery Card presented by the Minnesota Lottery. Each card will reveal either a Silver prize, redeemable at participating Mall retailers, or the coveted Doorbuster prize. Those lucky enough to win a Doorbuster will be directed to the high-energy Doorbuster Zone, where larger-than-life characters will literally bust through a door to deliver prizes valued at up to nearly $600. Adding to the excitement, the first 200 guests in line (18+) will also receive a Spot it! Game and a $25 Mall of America gift card. Additionally, out of those first 200 arrivals one lucky guest will be named the Spot it! Sweepstakes winner and will take home $5,000, courtesy of Asmodee®, doubling the prize awarded last year.
New this year, early risers can enjoy a Black Friday Pre-Opening Celebration outside the North Entrance, turning the early morning wait into a festive kickoff event. Local hip-hop artist, Nur-D, will serve as emcee, guests will be treated to music from DJ Hayes, along with live carolers, complimentary hot chocolate, and hand warmers to keep spirits bright as anticipation builds. The celebration culminates in a lively countdown as the doors open to mark the start of the biggest shopping day of the year.
Black Friday shoppers at Mall of America are in for an unforgettable day of over-the-top entertainment. Pop icon JoJo Siwa will take the stage with a high-energy live performance in the Huntington® Bank Rotunda, where she’ll debut her brand-new holiday single, “Message to the World (Little Drummer Girl),” for the first time ever! This special performance marks a return to MOA, where JoJo has wowed fans before and this year, she’s bringing even more holiday sparkle. Following her set at Noon, 100 lucky fans will take part in an exclusive meet & greet, which includes a photo opportunity, a signature JoJo bow, and a commemorative poster. As part of her return, JoJo will also relaunch her iconic bow line with an exclusive Bow Shop pop-up in the Huntington Bank Rotunda. Shoppers can browse a selection of her signature bows along with brand-new merchandise, including JoJo-themed necklaces, t-shirts, and more!

Guests can take a break from the hustle and bustle in the Huntington Bank Rotunda, where a dynamic lineup of performances will take place.
